Moynalvey continued their winning ways in Division 3 of the B League with an impressive 2-15 to 0-7 win over Syddan at Kilmore Park Moynalvey on Monday evening August 8th.

The host side dominated proceedings from start to finish of this game, opening up a 2-4 to 0-2 lead after the 1st quarter. William Harnan hit the opening two Moynalvey scores, before a Ciaran Ennis point attempt was dropped into the back of the Syddan net by a defender. Ennis added a free, before a goal attempt by Padraic Harnan was palmed over the cross bar by the Syddan keeper. Moynalvey’s second green flag of the evening was raised when William Harnan put Johnny Carey through on goal who expertly slotted home to the corner of the net. A further brace from Ennis put the home side into a 2-7 to 0-4 interval lead.
Syddan hit the first score of the second period, but this was to be their last score until the 57th minute as Moynalvey hit 0-8 without reply, courtesy of Brian Conneely (0-2), Ennis (0-2), Eoin Maher (0-2), Padraic Harnan (0-1) and William Harnan (0-1), to leave the home side run out 2-15 to 0-7 victors at the final whistle.
