Moynalvey 4 – 11 Duleek Bellewstown 2 – 4
The Moynalvey girls won their first ever adult championship in Dunsany on St Patrick’s Day with an emphatic 4-11 to 2-4 victory over a very determined Duleek/Bellewstown team.Central to this win was full forward Stephanie Thompson with 3-6 to her credit. Although she staerted in the half fprwards she was soon moved to great effect with Ciara Dowling coming out to the 40m line and grabbing a goal and 3 points herself, with Thompson converting 3 early frees and a goal and a point from play. Moynalvey soon stamped their dominance on the game, whenever Duleek threatened the Moynalvey defence of Fiona Madden, captain Ailise Smith, & Aideen Smith thwarted their efforts.
