Moynalvey under 14s played two games against Castletown and Kilbride on Saturday to kick off the new year. The weather was windy and wet for all teams and we reserved out best play for the last quarter against Kilbride as we played into the wind and rain.
Liam boyle switched from goal to full forward and was a constant thorn in the side of the Kilbride defence. Paul Corcoran tried hard at midfield with Michael Brady and Eoin McCabe and Deane Quinn were tight in defence. Carhal Slevin was equally effective outfield and in goals were he anticipated and intercepted Kilbride attacks.Sean Deegan put in a good shift in the halfbacks and half forwards and Liam Deegan and Craig Gilsenan were effective subs. The score doesn’t really matter as the purpose of the day was to gell the players in preparation for the new season.both moynalvey club and the high Kings of Tara would be happy to have these warriors going to battle in the coming year
