After losing narrowly to St Ciarans last day out, Moynalvey minors suffered another narrow defeat after an entertaining game against Blackfort Gaels in Moynalvey on Friday, May 23rd.
Moynalvey 2 – 11 Blackfort Gaels 1 – 16
The first half was a tight affair with the score at the interval being Moynalvey 0 – 6 Blackfort Gaels 1 – 3. However, the second half exploded to life and in the end the Kilmainhamwood/St Michaels combination just about prevailed.
This was a great team effort by Moynalvey with Feidhlim Cunningham (who scored 2 – 8), Mark O’Sullivan and Sean Burke outstanding. And with 8 players who are still under 16 on the field, the future looks bright.
