Moynalvey’s minors were edged out by the narrowest of margins in their championship quarter final on Saturday evening last.
Moynalvey 3 – 9 Ballivor 3 – 10
The concession of two late goals aided by some very questionable refereeing decisions and the strange fact that Ballivor were awarded home advantage for this knock out game meant that Moynalvey lost a fixture they led for almost the entire 60 minutes.
James Weldon top scored for Moynalvey with 1 – 4 and he was ably assisted by Packie Heapes and TJ Lynch (1 – 1) in defence, Donal Smith (0 – 2) in midfield and Simon Courtney (1 – 0), Anthony Donnelly and Feidhlim Cunningham (0 – 2) in attack.
