Moynalvey got their 2010 minor league campaign off to a winning start with a convincing victory over Trim on Saturday evening 3rd April.

Inspired by their captain William Harnan Moynalvey dominated the exchanges leading on a score line of 1-06 to 0-2 at half time with Cillian O’Sullivan netting the three pointer and Harnan kicking three points from play. Trim kicked three unaswered points at the start of the second half before Moynalvey took control again and a Cian Gorman goal put the game out of Trim’s reach. The Trim goalie produced an outstanding display denying the Moynalvey forwards on five occasions from raising a green flag and saving a spot kick.
Best for Moynalvey were Shane Browne, Sean Dunleavy, Brian Regan, Harnan, James Kelly and O’Sullivan.
