Following the success of our “Faster & Fitter For Gaelic Games” Workshop held in February, Meath GAA are running a Speed Development and Skills Testing Workshop on April 15th in the Meath GAA Centre of Excellence Dunganny. Once again, Meath GAA Head of Athletic Development John Coghlan will deliver this hugely interesting and important workshop which aims to equip coaches with the knowledge and skills to deliver to players in their clubs.
The workshop is open to all coaches (Football & Hurling) from Under 8 to senior and will focus on many important topics such as:
- Running/ Body mechanics
- Sprint Technique
- Measuring Speed in players
Included as part of the workshop will be a demonstration by Games Development Staff of the new Meath GAA skills tests currently being rolled out in clubs. This is an ideal opportunity for coaches to see how these tests are, organised, implemented, and how scores are recorded.
