Moynalvey’s second string paid the price for a poor start and conluded its Junior C championship campaign with defeat against Dunshaughlin in this game played in Ratoath on Friday evening, July 5th.
Moynalvey 3 – 7 Dunshaughlin 3 – 11
Dunshaughlin flew out of the traps and were by 2 – 3 to 0 – 0 ahead after 10 minutes. However, Moynalvey regrouped and goals from Giles Drumm, Denis O’Shea and Ger McHale as well as points from Shane Collins (5), Mick Quinn and Ray Ryan left the minimum in it as the game entered injury time.
As the final whistle moved closer Moynalvey attacked and had chances to equalise but their last foray into Dunshaughlin territory was intercepted and Dunshaughlin broke down the field to earn a penalty. This was despatched past the otherwise impressive Jordan Drumm to earn Dunshaughlin a 4 point success.
