Jenkinstown Gaels maintained their good start to the Summer League making it two from two with a convincing win over Ballivor on Tuesday evening 4th July.
Jenkinstown Gaels 17-14
Ballivor 4-11
Ciaran Harnan opened up the scoring here with a point followed by a quick point from Dylan Cranley. Jenkinstown we’re moving the ball fluently and have really gelled as a team. Robbie Kean followed with the first of his 3 goals in the fourth minute after been nicely set up by Ciaran Harnan who scored a goal himself in the 6th minute. A lot of one way traffic followed as Jenkinstown took grip of the game and were totally dominant until a couple of substitutes interrupted the siege and Ballivor tagged in a few quick scores to give them some hope. Adam McHugh shone in the back line once again to help Jenkinstown momentum back and at half time there was a score line 10-6 to 3-8.
Jenkinstown emptied the subs bench and continued in the same vein as the first half with great scores coming from Eoin Curley 4-3, Ciaran Harnan 5-2, Robert Keane 3-3, Conor Duffy 1-2, Ryan Sinnott 1-0, Eoghan Murphy 1-0.
Man of the match display goes to Paul Corcoran who put in his best performance of the year.
Well done Paul and well done to all the lads. Keep up the good work.
