“Royal Blood” – the autobiography of Meath legend Martin O’Connell – will get its official launch in the Headfort Arms Hotel, Kells on Friday, October 18th at 7.30.
During his playing career, O’Connell won three All-Irelands, six Leinster titles, three National Leagues and four All-Star Awards. He was also the sole Meath representative on the Team of the Millennium which was named in 1999.
Written by LMFM’s David Sheehan, “Royal Blood” details O’Connell’s many ups and downs during a period which brought unprecedented success for Meath football, but also heart-breaking defeats.
Guest of honour on the night will be Seán Boylan, and it promises to be a great occasion for lovers of Meath football and Gaelic games in general.
