Moynalvey travelled to Carnaross on Sunday morning and came away with the 2 league points to keep their hopes of promotion to Division 2 alive.

Moynalvey dominated the first half of this game and led by 0 – 9 to 0 – 1 at the interval. Barry O’Keeffe kicked 3 points during this period with one each for Padraig Donoghue, James Weldon, Willie Byrne, Ken Hyland, Ciaran Collins and Ray Ryan (free).
Moynalvey made a number of changes early in the second half and Ken Hyland palmed to the net to increase their lead. However, Carnaross never gave up and responded with a fisted goal of their own. Points from John Donoghue, Cathal McCabe and Ciaran Ennis (free) stretched Moynalvey’s lead before Carnaross converted a penalty for their second goal of the game. Brian Conneely added Moynalvey’s last score before Carnaross scored an excellent goal in the closing minutes to leave the final margin at 6 points in Moynalvey’s favour.
