Moynalvey’s first B League game of 2016 turned out to be an easier than expected victory over visiting St. Michaels on Thursday evening 5th May.

Moynalvey inflicted the first defeat upon previously unbeaten table toppers St. Michaels in a one sided affair in this Div. 3 B League encounter.
Moynalvey had built up a six point lead by the time St. Michaels registered their first score in the 15th minute. The home side would add a further six points before the break, with the Carlanstown men adding two to their tally, leaving it 0-12 to 0-3 at the break.
At the three quarter hour mark Moynalvey led 0-21 to 0-4, prior to the first goal of the game coming the way of the visitors in the 50th minute. Conor Shirren scored a goal for the hosts in the 59th minute and ended the game as top scorer when adding a further brace of points in injury time, leaving Moynalvey run out easy winners on a 1-24 to 1-6 score line.
