Moynalvey’s long journey to Kilmainhamwood ended up being a profitable one as they scored a comprehensive victory over the home side in Division 3 of the A League on Friday evening July 13th.
Kilmainhamwood 1-6 Moynalvey 5-15
Moynalvey moved into joint second of the Div. 3 AFL table with this comfortable victory over basement side Kilmainhamwood. The game was essentially over at half time as Moynalvey led by 20 points at the break on a 4-10 to 0-2 score line, with the first half goals coming courtesy of Mark O’Sullivan (2), James Kelly and Anthony Forde.
The second half was somewhat less entertaining as a deluge of rain deteriorated conditions, although the half was a much closer affair as Moynalvey outscored the ‘Wood 1-5 to 1-4, with the second half goal coming from corner back Padraig Donoghue.
