Moynalvey suffered their third defeat from four outings in the Div. 3 Premier Championship when going down 3-9 to 1-4 to visitors Dunsany at Kilmore Park Moynalvey on Monday evening 16th August.

The first half saw Dunsany have the greater share of possession, despite this the home side only trailed by three points at half time, 1-4 to 0-4.
It was Moynalvey’s Shaun Deering who opened the scoring with a point from a free in the first minute. Dunsany responded with a point from full forward Jake Harlin before a lengthy stoppage ensued due to an injury to Moynalvey’s Anthony Brien ten minutes in.
Dunsany’s Colm O’Connor traded scores with Moynalvey’s James Weldon, followed by a goal and a point from Sean Vaughan to put Dunsany 1-4 to 0-2 ahead after 29 minutes. Two injury time points from Moynalvey’s James Weldon and Shaun Deering left the half time score 1-4 to 0-4 in favour of the visitors.
The visitors over ran a ragged Moynalvey 2-5 to 1-0 in the second half to run out comfortable 3-9 to 1-4 winners. Moynalvey’s goal a superb strike from distance by Shaun Deering.
