Moynalvey GFC’s annual dinner dance to honour the clubs magnificent achievements in 2008 was held on Saturday, February 28th 2009 at the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan.
The night saw medals presented to the Meath & Leinster Junior Championship winning team of 2008 by Meath County Board chairman Barney Allen. Medals were also presented to the Under 21 C Championship team of 2008, by the Meath supporters club player of the year for 2008 & the Meath captain for 2009 Stephen Bray. Men’s player of the year went to the clubs first Greenstar John Donoghue.
There were also presentations made on the night to Moynalvey GFC by both the Ladies GFC & Kiltale Hurling Club to commemerate what was an outstanding year for the Club. Special Presentations were made on the night to Vincent Walsh & Mick Pender in recognition of the end of their 15 year sponsorship of the club and also to outgoing secretary Colette Smith. Presentations were also made to Stephen & Orna of Shanks Mare for their wonderful support of the Club within the past year & to former under age player Robert Power to honour his Aintree Grand National win of 2007.
