This Saturday 21st November sees the Official Opening of the renovated Moynalvey GAA clubhouse and hosting of the comedy play “The Pull”.

At the End of 2012 Moynalvey GAA club were lucky enough to receive €75,000 in Government Sports Capital Funding. On Top of this funding a Major Fundraiser “Strictly Moynalvey – A Night at the Movies” held in March 2013 enabled Moynalvey GFC to complete phase 1 of their Development Plans, with the renovation of the existing hall & dressing rooms at Moynalvey GAA.

This coming Saturday sees the official opening of the refurbished facilities at 7:30pm with blessing of the building by Fr. Half Solid Productions are bringing the hilarious comedy show, ‘The Pull’ to Moynalvey GFC on Saturday, 21st November (The same night of the Official Opening of our renovated club facilities).

“The Pull” Is about a GAA club that runs into some financial trouble, but it’s not nearly as big a deal as they think. Basically, Ballybore GAA Club is only €1,000 in debt but it feels like €1m to the main people involved in the club. They set about trying to solve the problem and decide to pull a truck around their home town to raise money and get themselves in the Guinness Book of Records. Chaos ensues and they end up getting in way over their heads”!

In the midst of the panic and the cack-handed attempts at fundraising, there are a number of other sub-plots for the audience to enjoy. “The Pull” is suitable for all ages. This is a perfect show for all the family. A Limited Number of Tickets at €10 are still available from committee members & club secretary Kathleen McDermott.
