2017 Championship Draws

The Draws for the 2017 Meath Club Football & Hurling Championship Draws took place at the March Monthly Meeting of The County Board in Dunganny last Night. In the Newly Sponsored Fairyhouse Steel SFC, Moynalvey were drawn against Seneschalstown in the 1st Round. Also in Group B are two teams Moynalvey faced in last year’s Group Stages, the eventual 2016 Keegan Cup Winners Simonstown Gaels and Navan O’Mahony’s whom we faced in last year’s Opening Round, Group B is completed by last year’s Meath & Leinster Intermediate Champions and All Ireland Intermediate Club Championship Runners Up St. Colmcille’s, along with our Neighbours Blackhall Gaels. Four of the last Five Senior Football Championships have been won by two of our opponents in Group B, Simonstown Gaels (Last Year) & Navan O’Mahony’s (2015, 2014, 2012).

In the Junior ‘B’ Championship, we have been drawn against Navan O’Mahony’s in the Opening Round. Also in Group C of the Seamus Connolly Sponsored Junior ‘B’ FC are St. Patrick’s, St. Colmcilles, Walterstown, Nobber.

Meanwhile 4 in a Row chasing Kiltale have been handed a tough opener in defence of the Jubilee Cup as they face Kildalkey in the Opening Round of B of the SHC. Also in Group B are Boardsmill, Dunderry, Killyon & Blackhall Gaels.
Kiltale will face Drumree in the Opening Round of the Intermediate Hurling Championship, while in the Opening Round of the JHC Kiltale will face Kilskyre/Moylagh.
