The 2016 Meath Club Hurling & Football Championship took place in Dunganny last night. The Senior Team were drawn in Group C facing an opening round encounter against the Keegan Cup holders Navan O’Mahony’s, also in the group are Wolfe Tones who we played in the opening round last year, along with Simonstown Gaels, Na Fianna and our new selector Brendan Kealy will look forward to a tie against his old club Dunshaughlin, the group’s other side.
Meanwhile the club’s second team have been pitted against St. Mary’s in the opening round of the Junior ‘B’ Championship, along with two other 1st teams St. Vincents & Moynalty, while Walterstown’s second team and Trim’s second team make up the remainder of the group.
