Think you know your sport? Prove it by attempting to correctly predict as many outcomes as possible from a list of 25 well known sports events throughout 2012. Following on from the success of the competition in 2010 and 2011 Moynalvey GFC have once again registered to take part in Sports Prophet 2012. Moynalvey GFC league player Eugene O’Reilly topped the All Ireland Player Leaderboard last year with a score of 158, while 2 other Moynalvey GFC league entrants David Wright and David Durkan finished 3rd and 5th respectively with scores of 153 and 148. 1st prize is €500, 2nd prize is €200 and 3rd prize is €100. Entry is €20, while U-16’s can enter for €10.
Closing date for online entry into the Moynalvey GFC sports prediction competition for 2012 is Friday March 9th. Entries can still be made online up until Friday March 9th, however all prediction sheets manually filled in must be returned to a committee member before Thursday March 8th.

Join the Moynalvey GFC league. When submitting online, you will instantly receive an email confirming your entry. Once payment is given to your seller, your entry will be validated shortly afterwards.

When submitting manually, simply fill in the prediction sheet (link attached) and return to your seller along with payment. Club co-ordinators (Paul Greene) will then receive these prediction sheets . The form may be printed off for family/friends/work colleagues through the following link: Question Form. The form can also be downloaded from the download menu bar of this website. To be in with the chance of winning, please circle the answer you think has the most potential to be correct.
Each question has a range of potential answers alongside it. Note: All Sports Events listed are those which will be concluded during 2012. Therefore some events are already underway (e.g. Premier League, RaboDirect Pro 12 etc.)

AMONG THE CHANGES TO THIS YEAR’S COMPETITION ARE:
Participants will now receive an online newsletter tailored specifically to that particular club after each event informing them that their leaderboard has been updated
Entrants can still earn points even if their choice does not win. Points are now available for coming second and third or for reaching a final or semi-final. The all or nothing approach is now gone which will make leaderboards far more competitive and enjoyable and retain your interest right to the end of every event.
After the deadline of March 9th entrants will now be able to view their own and their friends answers publicly without having to login
PLEASE NOTE: As manually filled in sheets will need to have your answers entered online by your club co-ordinator, manual entrants must accept that, even though unlikely, errors may occur in this transfer of information. The club co-ordinator’s (Paul Greene) decision is final in all matters.
